Yankees win at home against Red Sox by 15-9
Well the Yankees won to the Red Sox yesterday at the Bronx, in what it was one of the most interesting games in the season to date.
Even though thir starter Chien-Ming Wang had one bad night, the team from New York knew how to defeat his biggest rival. Wang was looking tired, probably because he didn’t had much time to rest, as it is a team’s policy to get their starting pitcher to fly one day ahead of the rest of team in order to have a full night of sleep to be in shape for the a coming game.
But this was not the case with Wang, who being from Taiwan, has not adapted to the USA, and his reserved personality makes it more difficult for him to go on his own, he preffers to fly with the rest of the team, something that might bring bad consequences for the Yankees, considering that this was the last game at home before going into a 18 road game span.
Yesterday it was all about runs, in a game that lasted 4 hours and 8 minutes, and that finished with the victory for the Yankees 15-9, and this is the first time that New York manage to score 15 runs against the Red Sox playing at home since the 1954 season.
And despite having a bad night, Chien-Ming Wang had his 50th career win in 84 games as a starter, the last one to come up with similar numbers was Dwight Gooden who ended with 50 wins in 82 consecutive starts back in the 1986 season.
