Red Sox a step above the Yankees
The Red Sox took on the Yanks 7 to 5 yesterday at the Bronx, and the Yankees took on Boston 15-9 on Wednesday, in order to split a series of two games, but last week it was the Red Sox who won a series of 3 games against New York in Fenway Park.
Fans of both teams really had their dosage of rivalry covered just fine, and nobody can really tell who has an edge over who, as both teams have great rosters to come up with a good season, but the Sox has a slight edge: a pitcher call Josh Beckett, the guy that is labeled by team mates and other professional critics as probably the best pitcher currently playing.
“I might have some personal bias, but he’s the best pitcher in the game right now,” Red Sox veteran Curt Schilling said of Beckett.
The Yankees and the Red Sox will not see each other until July 3rd, and Manny Ramirez, the guy that was mostly responsible for the Sox victory, is eagering to be in front of Mike Mussina one more time to prove the Yanks that the Boston victories are nothing close to pure luck.
