Rhodes back to the Colts for one season
It’s official, Dominic Rhodes is back with the Colts, but for how long... that remains to be seeing. Rhodes spent one season playing for the Raiders, but missed the first four games of the season due to violations to the NFL’s drug abuse policy, and this type of behaviour is what is keeping him away from a better contract, as all he got was $650,000 for one season, on which he will need to prove that he will follow rules this time.
And apart from that, competition is tough for him at the Colts, since Joseph Addai is the main runner for Indianapolis, while he will need to struggle against Kenton Keith and Mike Hart for a good chance of doing good.
Rhodes and Addai were the two runners that leaded the Colts to their first Super Bowl victory, and now he must feel like at home since he didn’t had a good season with the Raiders last year, he finished with 302 yards and only one touchdown, he hopes that will change now that he’s wearing a different uniform, the one that got him a championship ring.
He moved to another team in order to have more chances and play more regularly, and his future with Oakland was promising, but the four game suspension really threw Rhodes plan away, and so now he needs to stay clean or otherwise, if he got caught using illegal substances again, he will face a one year suspension.
